Scan receipts and add bookings

In the video, Coco sorts out two piles: receipts for travel costs and bookings for the trip. Both start with a photo or a file. The app reads the details, and you check them before they are saved.

1. Part 1, travel costs: under “Scan receipt” you take a photo of a receipt, an invoice or a ticket, or pick an image or PDF. From your gallery and as PDF you can pick several receipts at once.
2. Coco reads the receipt: amount, date, merchant or place and the category. In the video, a restaurant receipt lands under food.
3. “Something wrong? Tap and change it.” Then the receipt is saved to the travel costs.
4. Part 2, bookings: via “Add a booking” you add a booking manually, take a photo of the confirmation, pick it from your gallery or as PDF, or send it by email.
5. The booking goes straight into the trip, with date, place, time and booking number. The hotel booking in the video also shows “Show offline” and a check-in reminder.
6. Finally: confirmations can also simply be forwarded by email, which is part of Premium.

The receipt scanner is meant for spending on the road: receipt, invoice or ticket. It recognises the amount, the date on the receipt, the merchant or place and the category. If the date is outside the trip, the app points it out, and before saving you see which trip the receipt goes to.

If you entered the same amount a few minutes ago, the app asks before saving it a second time. The travel kitty itself is free: record, split and settle expenses, also with fellow travellers via a web link without an account or download.

The “Add a booking” sheet offers five ways: manually, camera, gallery, PDF and email. The app reads a screenshot on the device, while the booking scanner handles a PDF or a photo. Among other things, it recognises the date, time, place and booking number.

From the booking you can show it offline and get a reminder before check-in. Forwarding booking emails is part of Premium and needs an account and AI features switched on. The email is processed only to extract details, then deleted immediately – only the result is stored.

The receipt scanner and the booking scanner count towards the same allowance and need a free account with AI switched on: 5 scans a month on the free plan, 30 with Premium, no monthly limit with Premium+.

To read them, photos and PDFs are sent to the AI service Anthropic (USA), with the transfer to the USA safeguarded by standard contractual clauses. Data is stored on servers in Ireland; details in the app privacy policy.
