Memories

Your travel journal. A few lines every evening.

Keeping a travel journal sounds lovely – until you are sitting in the hotel at night, tired. The travel journal app in TravelMaster Go reminds you in the evening, writes a draft with Coco from your location and day plan if you like, and back home your trip becomes a photo book as a PDF. Journal and photo book are free.

Sound familiar?

Why travel journals stop on day three

On the first evening you write two pages. On the second, half a page. On day three you only get back at eleven, and the notebook stays in the suitcase. Back home you have 800 photos, but no idea what the restaurant with the view was called, or on which day you missed the ferry in the rain.

A travel journal rarely fails for lack of good intentions. It fails at the moment itself: in the evening the energy is gone, and by the next morning half the day is forgotten. What helps is a small nudge at the right time – and a start that you only need to add to.

How the app helps

How to keep your travel journal in TravelMaster Go

The journal belongs to your trip and its day plan. So you do not have to start from scratch when you write in the evening.

A reminder in the evening

In the evening, the app reminds you to write your entry. A few lines while the day is still fresh.

A draft from Coco – only if you want one

If you like, Coco writes a draft from your location and day plan. This needs a free account and AI switched on.

Photo book as a PDF

Back home, your trip becomes a photo book as a PDF – free of charge. Sharing via web link and template postcards come with Premium.

Three evenings

How days turn into a story.

Evening at the hotel, feet up

The reminder arrives while you are still sitting on the balcony. You open today’s entry and write three sentences: the market in the morning, the walk to the lighthouse, the ice cream that melted faster than expected.

That is all it takes. A short entry every evening is worth more in the end than two long ones at the start.

Too tired to write

After the long hike, words fail you. You let Coco write a draft, from your location and day plan. You delete what does not fit and add the moment only you know about.

Coco is an AI assistant and off by default. The AI features only run once you agree, and AI answers carry the label β€œAI-generated”.

Back home, Sunday afternoon

The washing machine is running, the holiday still feels close. You turn your trip into a photo book as a PDF, free of charge, to leaf through on the sofa.

With Premium, you can also share the trip via a web link and send template postcards to everyone who stayed at home.

Frequently asked

Quick answers.

Is the travel journal free?

Yes. The journal, the packing list and the photo book as a PDF are part of the free plan. Sharing via web link and template postcards are part of Premium.

Does Coco write my journal?

Only if you want it to. If you like, Coco writes a draft from your location and day plan, which you can edit. For this, Coco needs a free account and AI switched on.

Where are my entries stored?

As a guest without signing in, your trip data stays on the device. Data is stored on servers in Ireland. Requests to the AI companion are processed by Google in Frankfurt and by Anthropic (USA), with the transfer to the USA safeguarded by standard contractual clauses; details in the privacy policy.

Is TravelMaster Go a Polarsteps alternative?

That depends on what you are looking for. According to its provider, Polarsteps tracks your route, even offline, and shows the trip on the map. In TravelMaster Go, the journal grows from your entries and the day plan, and planning, travel kitty and documents sit in the same app.
