Weekends & Outings

Plan a weekend trip? Friday is enough.

When you plan a weekend trip, the planning should not take longer than the trip itself. TravelMaster Go suggests day-trip destinations within 50 or 100 kilometres, shows events near you and, if you like, checks in on Fridays with ideas for the weekend. The app is free and usable without signing in.

Sound familiar?

What can you do at the weekend?

Friday, just after five. It has been a long week, the weather is supposed to hold, and you really wanted to get out for once. Then the search begins: one tab for day trips nearby, one for the local events calendar, one for the forecast, plus the group chat where someone asks “something with a lake?”. An hour later it is dark, and the plan is the sofa again.

The problem is rarely that there is nothing to do. It is scattered. The castle an hour away, the farm festival in the next village, the gig on Saturday night – it is all out there somewhere, just not in one place, and not at the moment you feel like going.

How the app helps

Plan a weekend trip with TravelMaster Go

TravelMaster Go is not only built for the big holiday. At home too, the app always has something on – and that is what these features are for:

Day trips nearby

The app suggests destinations within 50 or 100 kilometres of you – close enough for a day, far enough for something new.

Events nearby

The leisure radar shows events around you: concerts, culture, activities. Included on the free plan.

“Weekends & Outings”

Every weekend and every day trip becomes an entry with a yearly overview. So in autumn you can see everywhere you went in spring.

What it looks like in real life.

Friday evening, nothing planned

You have switched on the weekend ideas in the app. They are off by default – you decide whether the app checks in. Then, on Fridays from 4 pm, a notification arrives with ideas for the weekend near you. For this, the app needs your location and permission to send notifications.

You tap it, scroll through the suggestions and save two. Instead of ten tabs, a quick look on the way home.

Saturday with the kids: not too far

With children, one thing matters most: how long will we be in the car? The app’s day-trip destinations lie within 50 or 100 kilometres. You can see at a glance what is doable today, and check the leisure radar for anything happening nearby.

If you plan the day in the app, it checks your day plan for closing days, opening hours and tight transfers. So you are not standing in front of a locked door at half past eleven.

Sunday, it rains after all

The forecast was wrong. If the day is in the app as a plan, it suggests swapping in indoor destinations when it rains – even without a signal. The hike becomes the museum, the beer garden becomes the café.

How Coco rescues a rainy Saturday is shown in the video Rainy weekend? Things to do nearby.

In the evening, the outing goes into your “Weekends & Outings” collection. By the end of the year you have an overview that feels a bit like a photo album – just without the glue.

Frequently asked

Quick answers.

Is weekend planning free?

Yes. The “Weekends & Outings” collection, the day-trip destinations and the leisure radar with events nearby are included on the free plan. Premium adds the worldwide live search in the radar and, in season, Christmas markets in 21 cities, among other things.

How far away are the day-trip destinations?

The app suggests day-trip destinations within 50 or 100 kilometres. So an outing stays doable even if you only set off on Saturday morning.

Will the app send me tips I did not ask for?

No. The weekend ideas on Fridays from 4 pm are off by default and only arrive if you switch them on. For this, the app needs your location and permission to send notifications.

Do I need an account?

No. TravelMaster Go can be used without signing in; as a guest, your trip data stays on the device. You only need a free account for the AI companion Coco.
